ABOUT ME

Maria McDonnell writes, learns, shares, runs, falls apart & comes back to the center.

Maria raised 3 sons. Her oldest son died suddenly and unexpectedly when he was 26 years old. She is a caregiver to her youngest son who lives with a fatal genetic disorder called Duchenne muscular dystrophy. She has been teaching college writing and literature classes since 2006. She runs far, paints a little, solves the NYT Crossword every day, collects tattoos, naps like a champ, and loves as hard as she can on any given day. She has a husband and 3 dogs.
